Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Calling Starboard is designed to work entirely offline. This policy is short because there isn't much to say: the app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, from you or anyone else.
Information We Collect
None. Calling Starboard makes no network requests of any kind. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind embedded in the app.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app saves a small amount of information locally on your device only, using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage:
- Your score history and lifetime stats (accuracy, streaks, per-rule breakdown)
- Your display preferences (appearance mode, wind indicator style, language)
This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it, cannot see it, and it is never transmitted to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.
Third-Party Services
Calling Starboard does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is sold or shared with anyone, because no data is collected in the first place.
Children's Privacy
Calling Starboard does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, the app complies with COPPA and similar children's privacy regulations by design.
Your Rights
Under regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, you have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since Calling Starboard does not collect or store any personal data on our servers - there are no servers - there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future update adds an optional online feature), we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
